Before you start your home search, you should always think about what you’re looking for. While your desires may change through the course of your search, it’s a good idea to get a rough starting point. You should ask yourself questions like how many rooms you need, how many bathrooms you need and the type of features that you require.
Make a list that includes a column for things that you “need,” and things that you “want.” This will not only help you narrow down your search, but will also give your real estate agent a good starting point. Having a list will help you later on, if you feel that you have started to add on too many unnecessary wants.
